Deleting a Code
Can I delete my Code?
The short answer is yes, you can delete a Code.
The longer answer is yes, while you can delete a Code, you really shouldn't. Deleting a Code is a permanent action that cannot be undone. Deleting a Code will cause all scans of that Code to show an error page, not your PDF.
We cannot stress enough that this process is not reversible.
If deleting my Code is bad, why does that option exist?
We recognize that sometimes you just want a fresh start, so having the ability to delete a Code gives you that option. Maybe you set up your first Code as just a test and want to make sure your new Code isn't accidentally affected by your old Code. While that is not a real danger, we get it, and will allow you to take that action. We also recognize that in multi-Code accounts, sometimes it is just easier to remove old un-used Codes instead of keeping them around.
The Code deleting feature is more about flexibility than it is about function, so don't take this action lightly.
Code Deletion is Permanent!
Once a Code is deleted, it is gone forever. You can create a new Code, but all your existing Codes that have been printed or displayed to your customers will be broken permanently. We very seriously advise that you rethink your decision to delete an existing and active Code that you are using.
