Free trial & plans

Every new account starts in a free trial so you can try Easy Menus end-to-end before paying. No credit card needed for the trial.

What you get in the trial

  • One code (one QR code + one PDF behind it)
  • Unlimited updates to that PDF by email
  • Authorized senders, the sign editor, downloads — everything works the same as a paid plan
  • A scan-count cap on the trial code — once customers have scanned a set number of times, the QR will show a "trial expired" page until you pick a plan

The scan cap exists so people can test the product but can't run a real business on the free trial indefinitely. If you're scanning once or twice yourself to verify it works, you're nowhere near the cap.

What customers see when the trial scan cap is hit

Picking a plan

When you're ready to ship to real customers:

  1. In the dashboard, click Billing in the side nav.
  2. Pick the plan that fits — pricing is on the page, including what each tier unlocks (number of codes, etc.).
  3. Click through to Stripe checkout. Pay with card.
  4. You're back in the dashboard, your code is live for real customers, and the scan cap is gone.

The billing page with plans

The switch from trial to paid usually takes a few seconds. If you've been on the plan for a few minutes and your code is still showing "trial expired" to customers, give us a shout — that's not expected. Get in touch.

What you get on a paid plan

  • Unlimited customer scans
  • Everything the trial had (updates, senders, sign editor, CSV exports)
  • Depending on the tier: ability to create additional codes (e.g., one per menu or per location)

The specific feature mix per tier is on the Billing page in the dashboard. We don't list prices here so they're never out of date.

Switching plans

You can change plans any time from the Managing billing area. Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Discount codes

If you've got a discount code (e.g., from your local Chamber of Commerce or a partner organization), enter it at the Stripe checkout step.
