Updating the PDF

You update the PDF behind your QR code by sending an email. That's the whole interface.

How to send an update

  1. From the address you signed up with (or any authorized sender), compose a new email.
  2. Send it to the update address for your code (find it on the code's page in the dashboard — there's a Copy button).
  3. Attach the new PDF. Up to 20 MB.
  4. Subject and body don't matter. Leave them blank.
  5. Hit Send.

The update address on the code page

Within a minute or two:

  • The PDF behind your QR code is replaced
  • You get a confirmation email
  • The change is logged in the code's activity timeline

Customers who scan the code immediately get the new PDF.

A few things worth knowing

There's no "version history." New PDF replaces the old one completely. If you need to roll back, re-send the previous file.

No limits on updates. Send a new PDF as often as you like — daily, hourly, whatever you need. Pricing isn't per-update.

The update address is unique to each code and never changes. Save it as a contact in your email so you don't have to dig for it every time.

Attaching from Google Drive or OneDrive? Read Attaching from Drive or OneDrive first — there's a "share a link" trap that breaks the update.

What if the update didn't go through?

Quick checklist:

  • Was the email sent from an authorized sender address?
  • Is the PDF actually attached (not just linked from cloud storage)?
  • Is the file under 20 MB?
