What your QR code is

The short version

Easy Menus gives you one QR code that never changes. Print it, sticker it, table-tent it, put it in your window — it stays the same forever. When the PDF behind it changes, the QR code itself doesn't. Customers scan and always get the latest.

That's the whole product, really.

The pieces

In the dashboard, the word code refers to the whole package:

What you see What it is
QR code The black-and-white square. The thing customers scan. Never changes.
The PDF Whatever the QR code points at right now — menu, price list, calendar, whatever. You replace this by email.
Update address A unique email address you send updates to. Always the same per code.
Authorized senders The list of email addresses allowed to update this code via email. You're on it automatically.
Activity A log of every PDF update, sender invite, and removal — for your records.

What changes, what doesn't

Changes Stays the same
The PDF (any time, by email) The QR code itself
Who's authorized to update it The update address
Your plan, billing, account email

What it isn't

Easy Menus is intentionally narrow. A few things it doesn't do:

  • It's not a menu designer. Bring your own PDF. (Tip: the sign editor is for making the printable sign with your code on it — not for designing the menu PDF itself.)
  • It's not an ordering or payment system. Customers see the PDF; that's it.
  • It doesn't store version history. When you send a new PDF, it replaces the old one. There's no "roll back" — but you can always re-send the previous PDF if you have it.
